pictures

i wrote this... and i want comments on what you think?
many people talk about pictures.
and how they are worth a thousand words.
do pictures really catch who we are?
and every emotion?
some do; some don't.
it is just hard to catch every moment,
but sometimes you don't want to catch it like a fish.
we have one life.
we should cherish it.
we should catch every moment,
no matter what is on that camera.
we want to remember all the bad times;
we want to remember all the great times.
so...
reel in everything you can possibly catch
making your life.
GO FISHING!

school (i think)is going great for haley and me.
i missed three days of school and i am behind in English still.
Shakespeare report. it makes no sense kinda for me on writing it. my birthday is coming quick (march 30). i am not sure what i am doing...it's on a sunday but i have a lot on that day. no time to celebrate and have friends over. i hope the XBOX gets fixed so i can play games if i do have my friends over(hopefully dad will let me have my guy friends over cuz really it is only guys and they ROCK!)and i am dieing to play our games! i might have a movie marathon... i have seen so many movies last year that i love! pretty much everyone has been sick. i haven't paid much attention because i have lot of homework with two honors classes and being behind really puts a hole in everything. which reminds me... i have to do my english so i can get caught up. and my grammar and everything is horrible in this piece (lol).

Semi-formal!

It was a great night! Lots of laughs, dancing, and fun! Trent came though. Well, Trent did bring me to the dance. He picked up Kirsten (the girl that is a friend that asked him). Then, we went to pick up Nathan because he was on the way there. if you saw the blog before that is how i looked. Trent was mostly gone all night. i couldn't find him. I was dancing with Nathan all night. Nathan did straighten his hair that night. It does look good instead of the curls sometimes. He was with me all night and sometimes with our friends. He and me danced to "our song" Far Away by Nickelback. When i recognized it, i just started tearing up. I didn't expect that to be played. He (Nathan) was singing it in my ear most of the time. It was really great! After the end of the night, a couple of girls took the balloons and sucked the helium and sounded like chipmunks! it was funny. I took pictures with my friend Brittany and a picture of Nathan and i. Nick's (another friend) mom took pictures of his date and me and Nathan. It was fun. I was head banging which made me hair kinda fall out. My hair did get done professionally by Shari. She did a great job. I got compliments all night! i did borrow the dress from a friend. I could go on and on about this subject but no thanks! i said enough!

Happy New Year - 2008!!

The new year dawns with several inches of new fallen snow. It is bright and white outside, a beautiful start to a new year. Happy 2008 everyone! I'm off to light a fire, make some breakfast and coffee, and enjoy some time with the family . . . .

and, here's what Tom looks forward to working all those long hours at UPS:

a beautiful girl in a beautiful dress . . .

And, after all those moaning and groaning, here she is . . . she borrowed a dress from a friend in PBnJ and we knit the shrug {yarn from http://www.knittingtoday.com/, of course} to cover her bare shoulders. Hair was done by Shari from the Magic Wand in Orland, Indiana.

P.S. Do you notice the wonderful oak mantel in the background??? Isn't that an improvement over the gaping hole?
ETA: 1/8/07 - temperatures of around 60 degrees and massive amounts of rain have resulted in flooding in our basement [again!].
