We give our house gas; it fights back!

We have half of the gas in our house installed. Now, we are getting into a fight with our house about it. It seems it won't let us outside! it locked us inside twice! dad thought he fixed it, but looks like it didn't work. So, he took out the handle and the door wouldn't shut. i got a bright idea. i put the old coffee pot to use!
